Requirements:
Students will be allowed to proceed
at their own pace in this interactive, on-line training program. Students must
pass a graded final exam with a score of 70% or better.
Who Should Take This course:
At a minimum, employees should have training under 49 CFR
382 and 40:

Transportation Safety Personnel (all levels from Safety Clerk to Director)

Transportation Dispatch personnel

All HR and Safety Personnel whose company is required to meet DOT drug
testing standards

Truck Drivers

Transportation Training Instructors

Personnel whose responsibility includes development of drug testing
programs

Objective:
After completing the 49 CFR 382 and 40: Controlled
Substances and Alcohol Use and Testing course, students will:

Understand the need for employee education about alcohol and substance
abuse in the workplace.

Identify the indicators of alcohol and substance abuse in yourself or
others.

Examine the different tests and requirements of DOT regulations for
alcohol and controlled substance use.
