Who Should Take This Course?

Per EPA regulations, Individuals who complete the Hazardous Waste Generator Training required under 49 CFR 262.34 and 265.16 must complete an ANNUAL refresher course that covers the 12 sections outlined in EPA’s training requirements including:

Overview

The RCRA/EPA Hazardous Waste Management Annual Refresher Certification was developed to keep you and your management staff ahead of the State and Federal laws governing compliance, with 40 CFR 262.34 and 265.16. After completing the “Initial” Hazardous Waste Management training, the EPA requires you complete an annual refresher to stay current of changes in regulations and to refresh the student’s knowledge the EXTENSIVE regulatory requirements contained in this training. The Environmental Protection Agency (EPA), requires all facilities that generate hazardous waste, have training that includes detailed regulatory requirements. Training topics include: Emergency response, waste characterization, transportation container marking and labeling, waste minimization, and manifesting.

Course Objectives

Hazardous Waste Management Refresher Certification discusses the definition of a hazardous waste, labeling requirements, storage areas, disposal facilities, and provides exercises for hazardous waste determination. The objective of this training is to provide recertification as required by EPA for all employees impacted by this regulation. Additional Emergency Response Training may be required for your employees under OSHA, EPA and DOT regulations.

Completion Instructions, Requirements, and Checklist

Certifications: Each student who successfully completes this on-line refresher training will receive a Certificate of Completion suitable for framing. This certification will be mailed to the address on the registration 3-5 business days after completion of the course (providing full payment has been received).

CEU’s, Duration, Prerequisites

Duration: 8-10 Hours Minimum 8 Hours
Prerequisites: This Refresher training is required by the EPA on an annual basis AFTER completing the Initial EPA Hazardous Waste Management Training . Please be advised that if you have not yet completed the Initial EPA Hazardous Waste Management Training, please DO NOT register for this refresher training as your training regimen will be incomplete.
