Each student who successfully completes this on-line training course will receive a Certificate of Completion suitable for framing. This certification will be mailed to the address on the registration 3-5 business days after completion of the course (providing full payment has been received).
Who Should Take This Course:
In accordance with the Occupational Safety and Health Administration regulations, Hazard Communications (HAZCOM) this training is required for all employees who have the potential to be exposed to hazardous substances in the workplace. This training must be provided for new hires and for other personnel when any new hazardous
substance is introduced at the workplace.
Course Content:
This training augments the employer's hazard communications program by training employees on hazardous substances in their workplaces, labeling containers and packages with appropriate warning labels, and explaining the components of Material Safety Data Sheets. The objective of this training is to provide certification (initial or annual) as required by OSHA, and to satisfy the OSHA requirements regarding written programs for all employees impacted by this regulation.
This course will provide the student (both initial and recurrent) with information on: Regulations, Hazardous Materials Identification, Shipper Requirements, Container Specifications, Shipping Papers and Documentation, Types of Carriers and the training requirements to meet DOT's standard. Additional Emergency Response Training may be required for your facility under OSHA, EPA and DOT regulations. This training may be conducted by the employer, providing they have the sufficient training and education, or by an outside training company.
